Comic-Con

Did I tell you that Jadon is probably the luckiest kid you'll ever meet? I think it has to do with the fact that he truly believes anything is possible. But it also has a lot to do with a ton of his aunts and uncles living nearby :)

So the kid is out of school for no more than a day and scores a 4-day pass to Comic-Con compliments of Uncle Robe's awesome girlfriend, Meredith. [She works for the Omni Hotel and gets all kinds of hook-ups, sweet huh!.] What's Comic-Con you ask? Only the biggest and coolest convention EVER. San Diego is home to the largest international comic book and popular arts convention. People buy tickets for this thing a year in advance for hundreds of dollars and trust me, they get into it. Just take a trolley ride downtown during the convention, best people-watching ever. [I've done it on my way to a Padres game.] They get all dressed up and stuff. According to Uncle Robe, it's the biggest money-making tourist attraction for San Diego, bigger than the beach [which probably makes no money since it's already there], bigger than all the hotels combined [all of which were completely booked this weekend for the event], bigger than the Chargers and the Padres, yeah, B-I-G.

Since Uncle Robe had to work, Uncle Jared took Jadon to the convention and had a great time together. A few of these pictures were ones Jadon took with my camera and they took a lot of pictures! [Luckily he didn't listen to his Uncle when Jared tried to persuade him to take pictures of some scantily clad women in costume.] Oh and be sure to check out Jadon's bag. His "other" bag was too big, seriously. Oh and doesn't he look so cute with his credential?
